GrossDeutschland Division recruitment drive ! (+ kit list)

We have quite a contingent of Waffen SS now, but if there are any of you out there considering portraying a Heer (i.e. army) unit, then come and join the GrossDeutschland! We currently have four regular attenders - Myself, Che, Fandangalos and Helga. I know others on the forum have (or had) the uniform, too. And the nice thing about the GD is that we have a bit of bling - cuff title and shoulderboards, which sets us apart from the riff-raff! Despite all the various camo garments produced by Spearhead and the like, the photographic evidence is that Heer units did not wear them hardly at all. From looking at the 200-odd pages of my GD pictoral history book, the only camo seen is splinter pattern: one officer with a tunic, a couple of guys with smocks, one wearing his Zeltbahn as a camo smock, and various splinter helmet covers. Everyone else is wearing Feldgrau. The idea of this kit guide is not to exclude people, but to encourage members to build up an authentic loadout. You do not need every piece of kit to join! Essentials Feldgrau tunic and trousers (wool or canvas) or Reed green HBT tunic and trousers or Black Panzer tunic and trousers German helmet or field cap - too many types to list! Yes still heer :wink:
I've been a bit quiet on the airsoft front recently, what with work, holidays & moving house etc.
Plus the damn internet is still not working ( I am at work at the mo) Only moved 3 miles down the road, same number, same exchange but will take up to 24 days to reconnect broadband, go figure?
